So as you know already because its the same every single week..but ive had another incredible week!! Lausanne is the greatest place on earth!! i am in love with it!! SO HAPPY!!
SO HERE WE GOOO......
first...a man came to church last sunday called elder bulmar?? and he said he served as a missionary in essex in 1980? or something like that and said he know the faggs?? grandma grandad i dont know if you can remember?? haha!! anyway...
MIRACLE - so our phone broke on monday. and we had a rdv fixed with our ami. But we were running a few minutes late. so we couldnt call him or anything. so we get there and he isnt there. and we dont know what to do because we cannot call him, we didnt know whether he was running late too? if he had come and then left? no clue!! so we prayed because we waited for 15 minutes for him to see if he would turn up!! We prayed and made the decision to walk down a certain street to contact...and who comes walking down THAT street?? OUR AMi!!!!! WOOO!! it was so cool! im so glad we were able to meet him! and he came to church this sunday too and loved it!!
So many contacting miracles this week! i cant share them al! But i hope you can just see the amount of miracles that service brings!! I hope you are all still looking out for all the many miracles that happen every single day!! So one that I HAVE TO SHARE....is we contacted a lady on the bus, and we find out she is from bolivia, and she tells us how when she was 14 years old, she had a baptismal date set in bolivia, but her family had to move before her date, and then they lost contact with the church here. Now we have met her, are going to teach her and we will help her prepare again for her baptism!! whAT A MIRACLE!! it was amazing. we found her!!
another little miracle!! i contacted a man on the bus and he told me he has just moved here and he used to live in france and for the last two weeks his friend had taken him to our church on sunday and he loved it. he has just moved here and was looking to see if we had a church here in lausanne! and thats when i met him, gave our address and number etc!! MIRACLE!!
STUDY- ok im going to bombard you with all my studies this week! just because i love you and i want to share them all with you!! haha sorry!!!! OK here we go...
``the more we endeavor to fill our own lives with light, the less room there is for darkness, and the closer we will evenutally become to being like christ, the light of the world...`` --I LOVE THIS. we need to be continually striving to fill our lives with light, constantly!! so when darkness tries to creep in, it doesnt stand a chance!!! Because there will be no room for it!!
I was studying in Mosiah 17 - about abinidi and alms! and oh my goodness i love that story! abinidi really did not know the impact he was having. He didnt know alma would then go on to baptise 400 people!! its inrecible!! and it made me think of our families. Like the missionaries who baptised our family. grandad and grandma for example..the missionaries did not know they would go on to have 11 children strong in the gospel, children who have grown up to serve missions and serve in the wards and stakes, to then have grandchildren serving missions etc!! there is so much that can come from one persons testimony. BE like abinidi. do not be afraid. You do not know the strength of your testimony.
Mosiah 21:15 - the lord eases the burdens of the people but sees fit not to completely remove it from them. We can relate this to ourselves. sometimes the Lord sees fit that the burden should stay, that it may be something we need to endure or face in our life, it has to be there. But he will always lift the burdens we carry. He will always make it lighter and easier to enfure!!
ok i really am bombarding you now!! haha ill stop...
OK so...we had zone training this week! elder price and elder spoors presented Presidents vision for the mission! they did an amazing job!!
So the focus in the mission right now, is temples!! The temple is the goal we want everyone to have, members, less actives, investigators, people on the street. we want everyone to be talking and learning and wanting temples!! Before baptism was the main goal, the big step. Now temples is the vision, and with that bptism is just a step along the way to that!!
its a bit of a change! as president has said the next 6 months ar going to be alot of testing and seeing what works best for us. so contacting is different...just walking up to peole and showing a picture of the temple etc!! its very different but i love it!! it pushes us too!!Temples are so essential. we cannot return back to our heavenly father without the blessings of the temple. that is how essential it is!!
I know that this is inspired. That heavenly father is guiding this mission. This is what it needs! I know as a mission we are going to see so many blessings and miracles come from sharing about temples.
One idea he had was to have pictures of our families outside our temple from home with us, to show to people...so would you be able to send me one please?? if possible?? thank you!! haha i love you!
Also this monday we have a big conference with President Brown! he is going to speak about this vision the mission is going down!! i am SO EXCITED!! its going to be so great!! But its on monday, so i think i may be emailing you on tuesday instead of the monday!! just so you dont have heart attacks on monday!! haha!!
This week has been another inredible one. I am learning alot, sister greciano is incredible. i love her! On the street contacting its funny she is just so cute, i dont think anyone can say no!! shes a lucky charm!! haha but its been so great! met some great people who are ready to recieve the message of the restored church! I can tell this next week is going to be a great one too!!
enjoy every day! because they go by FAST!! ive realise that! we are heading into the half way mark of our transfer together already...that just doesnt make sense!! haha!! but i am loving it soo much!
