BONJOURRRR AGAIN to my beauties!!!!!
Can you believe another week gone and we are going into the half way mark of this transfer!! Absolutely crazy!!
Hahaha mum she didn't have 12 suitcases. We were with two other equipes. But she does love to shop...and so do I....trouble! Haha. I was looking at my clothes today and I have a lot...haha nothing's changed!!
My accent... I'll let you be the judge of that. I'm surrounding by so many different cultures. It's probably a mix.
But everyone says I'm really posh. Haha. So I think my English accent is staying tight! Yes!! ;)
You sound like you have an epic week planned. Remember to write and tell me all about it ok!! !
SOOOOOO WHO IS...I REPEAT WHO IS READY FOR MY WEEEEK??? It was a great one...so you better be ready!!!! OK HERE WE GOOOOO.....
SO FIRST THING’S FIRST!!! HAPPY MOTHERS DAAAYYYYY FOR THIS WEEK MOTHER!!!! (Really hoping I didn't get the wrong week....haha pretty sure I'm good.) I have sent a little letter in the post for you. So I hope it gets to you in time :) I love you soooo much mother. You know that you’re my hero and you mean the world to me.
I'll leave the rest to my letter!! And...video haha enjoy!!!!
So my week started with receiving a Valentines letter...from a mystery person... I have my guesses but whoever you were THANK YOU!! It made my week. Totally sparked me!!!
So let's start with Monday. P-day we spent the day with the missionaries in Geneva...pretty much spent the whole day beating the Elders at table tennis. (Haven't lost my touch… so I look forward to playing you all when I return!!) haha!!
The evening we had FHE with THE cutest... I repeat hands down THE CUTEST family ever. (I have photos with them...to show you!) we hid little pieces of paper in balloons and hid the balloons over the room and the little kids had to find them, pop them and then we found out what we can do to become more like Jesus. It was so cute and they all loved it so much!!
...and we ate fish AND, AND, AND I LOVED
IT. I'm officially a changed woman!! Haha
On Tuesday it started perfectly with a RACLETTE MEAL!!! I can't wait for you to try this. It's my FAVOURITE. Really simple but I love it. So when we come back I'm buying...or you’re buying a raclette machine!! Haha?
We also went to Lyon as my companion had to do her legality. It was really fun as I was with Sister Kearney and we helped out in the office. I love that girl!! I love seeing my old mtc sisters or old companions. I just love all the missionaries in our mission. Very lucky!!
Again this week we have come away with yet again a lot of miracles. I'm in a miracle mission, our eyes are open so every week we see them!!
We were contacting on Thursday and the people we spoke with, even though they didn't want to fix anything. They appreciated the spiritual conversation we had with them, we saw faces light up and leave with smiles on their faces. Seeds were planted and sometimes that is all that they are ready for at that moment in time. It was a great feeling though!!
The toughest thing this week....I brought a Bueno in the machine and it got stuck.... So I had to buy another one to get it out!! Hahaha!! (So I got two buenos. Win.) (I actually have a video of Sister Kelley bum-bumping the machine to try and get it out!! Ha)
We had a surprise STL exchange this week. I was with Sister Holmgrin and I love her already. We are literally the same person. Haha. So it was a fun exchange, we laughed a lot!! The evening of the exchange we had a ward relief society activity, and it was so cool. It was where in different rooms they took us to all the different "gardens" like we started at the Garden of Eden. And then Gethsemane and them the garden of the tomb. And it was super spiritual. My favourite was the Garden of Gethsemane. She had us close our eyes and she told us to imagine ourselves with Christ in the garden. We walk with him, and see him kneel down and suffer for our sins etc. and it was more powerful than what I'm coming across but I nearly cried. Haha everyone got really emotional. And it was a lovely experience. It made me realize how grateful I am for my Savior who suffered for my sins, for my sadness, for my pain. So that I could find joy!!
So Friday was kind of a rough day actually. Well actually it started great with zone training!! Then we had two potential investigators who didn't turn up to our rdvs. Nobody wanted to talk when we went contacting etc. but I realized we do sometimes have to have days like this to recognize the better ones you know. And even though nothing really worked out, it was still a great day. I really had to open my eyes to see it, but I eventually saw it...for example on the train home two men heard us speaking English and asked where we were from and then it got into how we are missionaries and what we are here to do. So that was really cool.
Then we were walking home and something just told me to look up. I looked up and the sky was black, filled with sooooo many stars!!! It was sooo beautiful! And it made me so grateful. I know Heavenly Father was aware of me and knew that would make me happy so he got me to look up. Don't you just love that!! Even if it is a little cheesy. Haha (what can I say!! I have an American as a companion. She is rubbing off on me.
Haha no offense to any Americans!! )... THEN....I GET HOME AND WHAT IS WAITING FOR ME ON THE DOORSTEP....MY PACKAGES!!!! Woooooooooooooooooo
Seriously mother I can't thank you enough. Literally what I needed. Especially all those letters from you all. I LOVE YOU ALL MORE THAN YOU COULD EVER KNOW, and all the sweets and chocolate, I've already put on weight on my mission...and here we go again!! Haha!! ;) but I think that is why the packages were so late. Heavenly Father knew a rough day was coming and that is what cheers me up every time... receiving something from you!!! So IT WAS PERFECT!!! Thank you SOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!!!!
And the story of "I'll find you my friend" got us all crying in the apartment. Seriously we all sat there, weeping!!
So back to zone training...don't think you were going to get away that quickly without me telling you my notes!!! Haha...
I think I say this every time but definitely one of my favourites!! It was so great! So we have the Christoffersen conference in two weeks (AHHH) and to prepare. President has set a goal, to have 187 new engages (Amis with a baptism date) before that time. INSANE!! But we can do it!! Sooooo excited!! Oh and also a little detail I loved about the conference, our zone is sitting RIGHT AT THE FRONT!! Yaya! Haha so excited as you can tell!!
We are having this new thing, called "power hour" everyday too to prepare. So for one hour every day we set a time and we go full out contacting, all the families we see!!
We had our first one on Saturday and it was really fun and we met so many great people!!
OK here we go with the greatest miracle of this week. Yesterday at church, one of our less actives we have been working with came TO CHURCH FOR THE FIRST TIME IN OVER TWENTY YEARS!!!! AHHHHHH and she loved it. It was a complete miracle!!!!
Yesterday at church we had two Amis, and 4 less actives come. MIRACLES.
LAST night we went with the Elders to my Sister I!! and we shared a message in the Book of Mormon. And we all shared spiritual experiences on how we know the Book of Mormon to be true. The Spirit was there. And we gave her a Book of Mormon to write her testimony in the front and then give it to a friend. She is so excited and so are we. I know the Book of Mormon can change a life. Because it's changed mine. I'm not going to let a day go by without studying from the Book of Mormon. It's too precious not to read from, study from every day. I've had experiences where I have come to know that the Book of Mormon was indeed written for us, today, our lives. It leads us to eternal life, if we live by its teachings! I love it. And I want to invite you to grab a Book of Mormon. Ask the missionaries and write your testimony in the front and give this precious gift to someone you want to save! :) it changes lives.
My studies!!!
"With every step we take following the Son of God, we may be reminded that we are not perfect yet. But let us be steadfast and constant disciples. Let us not give up. Let us be true to our covenants. Let us never lose sight of our Advocate and Redeemer as we walk toward Him, one imperfect step after another."
- I have been studying Christ as his role as our advocate. And I've come to love him even more, didn't think it was possible but it happened. And I came across this little beauty of a quote. We must never lose sight of our advocate. He knows we are imperfect, and we know we are imperfect (that's for sure) but that's ok. We are imperfect so that we can take imperfect steps towards perfection, that's how we learn and that's how to become like him. Be steadfast and never give up. Remember there is someone, your Savior who is or will be pleading for you, he’s fighting for you. So fight for him, fight to become like him so that one day we can be worthy to stand by him. Side by side!! That's my goal and I know it's yours too...so just keep going, you’re doing great! I love you!
I just want you to know, you’re all amazing. And you need to continue being the incredible people you are. You effect a lot more people than you think. You shine and people see it. Never forget your potential and the difference you can make in the lives of others through something so simple as a smile. I can't wait to see all your smiles again in person (ok little creepy. Haha I apologize.) but I love you all soooo much.
Go have another epic week as usual.
And remember Sister FAGG LOVES YOU!!!!!!!
LOVE YOUR ONE AND ONLY.....
