BONJOUUUUURRRRR!!!!!
WOW!! What a week you have had.
I LOVED THE PICTURES YOU ALL SENT THIS WEEK!! Love you!
The decorations are up! YAYAAA!! Haha!! It's beautiful!!
So I got to see the Christmas devotional too (in French though..so the translation was weird) but it was great. I LOVED THE MUSIC TOO. Brings so much spirit!!!!
I especially liked the dart story on judging others. It touched me, because I think we will find ourselves judging others a little too often. It's scary, we judge even when we don't realize, it's something I want to improve on. It's something the mission has helped me improve on. Being slow to judge, because no one on this earth is perfect, he who is perfect cast the first stone! We should never cast a stone (a judgement, a gossip etc) because we will always find imperfections in ourselves. But we see our potential too. We know who we have the potential of becoming, with the help of God, Christ and his atonement we can fix imperfections and overcome weakenesses. What a gift!!
ARE YOU READY FOR MY EPIC, INTERESTING WEEK...haha HERE WE GO THEN...
- so I don't know if you were aware, and you don't have to make it known...but Geneva had a terrorist high alert on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. AND GUESS WHO WAS IN GENEVA FOR EXCHANGE. Meeee!! Haha so we had an exchange with the Geneva sisters in Friday, then we RECIEVED a call from president on Saturday telling us to not leave the house and stay inside all day. And then Sunday we were able to go to church but got a senior couple to drive us to annemasse to swap over from the exchange. So I served three days of this last week in Geneva. And more, the Geneva spainish ward...so Sunday was INTERESTING!! Hahahahaha. HOLA AMIGOS!!!
It was a great exchange, I was with sister Larsen. She is a missionary that inspires me. She is just so great. And I hope I can become the missionary she is now. She is so inspired, so determined and so committed to our call. Hero. I had a little miracle on the tram, a lady sat infront of me and she only spoke SPAINISH!! I was like, oh my days. Here we go. Haha so all I could say was the churches name in spainish, and Jesus Christ and savior in spainish and I gave her the card for the spainish sisters. But it was just so funny. You never know. And you never know what heavenly fathers going to throw at you! Haha!!
Another miracle that I don't think would of happened if I wasn't there. We visited one of their less active members and we shared the message...and then asked if there was anyone she would love to hear this message. She found out I was from annemasse. And said "oh you can go and visit my daughter, she lives in annemasse." MIRACLE. SO she gave us her number and address and we will try and pass her this week in annemasse!! So cool.
It was fun Being in Geneva for three days. Because sister wilsher is in the house too. Mwahahaha. We had fun!! But now I'm a little tired as you can imagine! Haha!! Love her.
On Monday night we went and had fhe with the family Bonny. And what a family!! They are so cool. The whole time the dad was teasing his daughters, it reminding me a lot of dad actually. Haha. I loved it. And in annemasse ward we are doing "carte vivant!" So we are the Christmas cards! I don't think it translates very well in French. But basically we are asking members to write down families who we can go and sing Christmas carols too and then share a short message on the savior and leave the spirit on the doorstep. So we asked them how many cards they want and they said "ERM give us eight!!!" Ok. Haha the members here are EPIC!!
We had our Skype interviews this week with president brown. Again..weird over Skype. But I love him a lot. He inspires me to be a better missionary every time I speak with him. He gave me a lot of advice and he reminds me a lot of dad, because he is so inspired and gives the best advice!! (And you too mum, you give great advice too! ;) I'm happy to be a part of his team here. I know, and I've seen that I was called to him, as my mission president too!!
We had an exchange at the beginning of the week with the sisters in Lausanne so I GOT TO GO BACK TO MY BEAUTIFUL, FAVOURITE LAUSANNE. Wooooo!! The Christmas lights are absolutely INCREDIBLE GUYS!! (I have pictures to send!!) we got to see the Rodriguez family, and sister davaloz and the family echiniques!!! IT WAS THE GREATEST THING EVER. I absolutely loved it. And I was with sister yaka yake. So even better!!! We had a really great day!! We saw a potential investigator too and the reason he stopped coming to church and seeing the missionaries before was because a missionary told him "we can't do anything more.." And I think there was a miss communication somewhere so he thought we had given up on him. And then the sisters called him and he is happy to take the lessons again and is coming to church. As he knows all the members etc!! So cool. The lord led him back! He always takes care of his sheep!
We had a miracle lesson this week with our ami,. She is progressing really well. And we are excited for her to fix a baptismal date! We asked her to read 2 nephi chapter 31 and pray straight afterwards about baptism. And she was so excited , she said "ah I want to do it right now.." Haha. I love her and the excitement. She knows Heavenly Father will answer her prayers.
We are round the bishops family this week for the first time, since I've been here. It was so great! They have invited us round for Christmas Day as well!!! EXCITING!!
But they have a FERRET! I repeat A FERRET as a pet. It was like A rat!! I ok a video and I'll send it over!! Haha mum you would of freaked out.
So I don't know if you have ever seen the film 17 miracles?? I got to see it this week. And oh my days, what a film, it hits you hard. All those heroes crossing the plains by handcart! I don't think their stories and there bravery and courage and hardships and endurance and hope and faith has ever touched me that hard! What HEROES!!
PINDERIZING SCRIPTURE :
1 Corinthians 2:9:
Read it.... Haha
Can you just imagine!! "Eye hath not seen, now ear heard.." God has a wonderful plan for each of us. Love him. Love is the base, because if we live God, we will do everything that he asks of us, and if we do everything he asks of us, we will be living righteous worthy lives, and if we are living these kind of lives we will be happy and we will receive the greatest gift that God has to offer his chi,Daren, eternal life. It all comes down to love. Love him who created him. Love him who loves you in return. Love him who knows you perfectly, weaknesses and all. LOVE IS THE KEY!!
Studies!!!
- "Have faith that you can do tremendous things."
LOVED this quote. Faith is all we need. And tremendous things is the promise!
- "Even when, from a purely human perspective, perfection can appear an impossible challenge to achieve, I testify that our Father and our Savior have made known to us that it is possible to achieve the impossible. Yes, it is possible to achieve eternal life. Yes, it is possible to be happy now and forever."
GUYS IT IS POSSIBLE!! Believe it!! He makes the impossible possible.
-"What greater honor could there be than that God would say to you, “My beloved son” or “My beloved daughter,” and that you would receive His commendation that your offering is acceptable to Him, “in whom I am well pleased.”
This is essentially my ultimate goal in life. To return to my heavenly home and hear these words. There is nothing I want more!! Can you just imagine it!! Your smiling reading this aren't you...it's exciting! And it's possible!!
Next week I will do some Christmassy studies BECAUSE OH MY GOODNESS ITS CHRISTMAS NEXT WEEK!!! Ahhhhhhhhhhh
WHOS EXCITED!!!!!! I AMMMMMMMMM!!!!
