BONJOUR MY ABSOLUTE INCREDIBLE, AMAZING, WONDERFUL, GORGEOUS, PERFECT FAMILY..... and friends
I JUST LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH. The pictures you send this week. Did make me laugh!! I can always count on you to make me laugh can't I!!!
ARE YOU REAAAADYYYY???? Here we gooooo.....
FIRSTLY THANK YOU mother dearest for the package. IT CAME... And let's just say I may have already eaten my half of the package. Hahahahaha. I haven't changed. TOO MUCH LOVE FOR YOU THOUGH. It was the greatest thing.
Sooooo a few of you asked about more information for my new companion. So her name is sister stapley, she is from California. So is hilarious. We get on so well. And I already find myself putting on my American accent sometimes. Haha. She has a brother and a sister, middle child. She adores her family. (We are the same on that one too.) and she's just really cool...weird little thing, she eats broccoli for breakfast!! haha.
So on Monday I was in Geneva all day waiting for my new companion to get in. So I was paired up with a sister, who I knew before. And she had permission from president to meet up with the man who BAPTISED her grandmother. As he was in Geneva on holiday. She had never met him before and he is the reason really, why she is on a mission, it was such an amazing moment. I was wondering...do we know the missionaries who BAPTISED grandma and granddad etc? Did they keep in touch at all??
So you know I told you about the business contacting thing. Well we have got an ami out of it. We have set up a rdv with her this coming week, to share the new video (or the old one...if it's not in French) with her. So excited!! Anything is possible when your on the lords side.
GUESS WHAT I BROUGHT THIS WEEK....ADVENT CALENDER. YAYYAAAAAAAAAAAA. So excited. ITS DECEMBER THIS WEEK. AHHHHH!!!! Mum it will never add up to your lovely little advent CALENDER. Ever. BUT it is a kinder chocolate one. Haha then the relief society had made a huge advent CALENDER for us too. So we are spoilt. It will all be enjoyed. Haha. Man, me and Lucy aren't there for the advent CALENDER this year....that means the others get more Those. Lucky bugs. Haha.
You know what, the members here are actually incredible. We had a meeting this week with one of our relief society presidents and she had a list of all the sisters and we went through them one by one, and she told us who she doesn't knows, who we can visit, who she thinks needs our message, our love, who would be best to leave something like a scripture or cookies. So we have a LONG list of sisters to visit this transfer. Which is amaaaaazing. But don't you just love that!! Remember if you have forgotten, missionaries are never happier when members give them something to do!!
Just a little shout out to Sam and his family, he was serving near sister staples and he gave her a note to give me. So Sasha your boy is still loving!! Haha. He made my week!! I love him so much. And I CANT WAIT TO SEE HIM IN A FEW WEEEKS FOR CHRISTMAS. there will DEFINATELY be pictures coming your way!!!... Anyway back to my week...
Our ami, is progressing so well! I am so proud of her. She is a tough place right now in her life, but she has this incredible faith. She is a bit of a miracle actually, because she started seeing us just to learn English, because we do English classes here. And then we started reading the Book of Mormon to practice pronunciation etc. and she felt the spirit so much, we read third nephi 11 with her and she nearly cried. We saw her again and she said "I wanted to feel the same spirit, the same feeling when I was wi you, so I read it again." She has re read chapter eleven and then read 12 as well. MIRACLE. This week we are actually going to be watching the film "the testament" (love it) because it will bring the scriptures alive. So looking forward to that.
OK BEST MOMENT OF MY LIFE...not really BUT it was a great moment. We ate with another ami, and she fed us YORKSHIRE PUDDINGS. Not exactly the same. But close (I will send a picture) I AM SOOOO HAPPY. I can't wait to eat yours again mum!! Mm..
MIRACLE MOMENT- we had a little time before our rdv with our ami, and every Friday there is a huge market in the center ville. And so we walked through to get to her apartment. And I don't know, I just felt like we had to go to this one stall. So we did. And we straight away sparked up a conversation with the man running the stall. And he saw our badges, and we got into a really great gospel conversation. Well all in all he ended up giving us his number to give to the missionaries in annecy. Where he lives because he is interested to know more. MIRACLE. Miracles come when spiritual prompting a are followed.
(Also we used our lunch hour in the market...and I brought a coat. Haha. It's lovely. And I look French when I wear it,)
MIRACLE - so we were at the chapel on Saturday and a potential investigator just text us, with her address and what floor she lived in, and everything and said "I want to meet with you, I'm waiting for you." ... It was a little creepy. Hahahahaha. But we went. And it was a lovely lady, of another religion. But she wants to know who Jesus Christ is and what he did, why he is important etc. she doesn't know any of it so she wants us to tell her. OK!! Haha it was so cool. We taught her and are seeing her again next week.
SO WE HAD A HUGE MIRACLE DAY!!!!!!!! We were on our way to our Amis. And we get on the bus. We are just talking to people (we don't sit next to each other on the bus, so we can contact more people) and I'm just looking outside and there are cows in fields and stuff....I don't recognize where we are?? We both realized at the same moment we were on the wrong bus. I felt we needed to wait a couple of stops until we should get off. Didn't know why. So we get off the bus. And I recognize the place. I remember right at the very beginning of next transfer we visited a woman who lived right by here. We hadn't seen her since. The bus to go back the right way was coming in 5 minutes so we ran to this ladies house and gave her an invitation to our relief society activity this week, for Christmas. We made the bus to go back. AND ON THAT BUS. A lady came and sat next to me (even though there were tons of empty seats) so that's not normal. We started talking and I find out she is going to be alone jeer Christmas time, she has no family. So I remembered I had another invitation to our Christmas activity and I gave it to her. She was so happy. We will see this week at the activity if these women come, but even if not, it was inspired that we got on the wrong bus. Because if not we wouldn't of been able to impact these lives.
We had the primary presentation in our ward this week. IT WAS THE CUTEST. And right at the end. They all stood up and said in unison "I know my savior lives" the spirit was so strong and our ami, who came, loved it and felt the spirit so much. And I just wanted to bear a little testimony, that I too, know that my savior lives and loves me. He came to earth to help us return back, he saves us. He is our way back home. And for that I will be eternally thankful. The gospel is simple enough a child can understand it, during that presentation the primary children shared testimonies, and I could see simply that they understand. They know they have an elder brother who loves them more than they could imagine that he gave his life so that they could be saved. It's just incredible.
I'm so excited for this transfer, we handed out our calendar for the month of December and we nearly have a mgv (eating with members) every single day this month!! CRAZILY SPOILT HERE!!!! But...I'm gonna get fat, that's for sure. Haha!!!
STUDY TIME....
- Jeremiah 28:13 "and ye shall seek me, and ye shall FIND me, when ye shall search for me with ALL your heart.." - I've been studying prayer this week and I came across this little beauty of a scripture. I love it because it's a little bit different to what we normally read "ask and ye shall find, knock etc" ...I love when it says "and ye shall FIND me" when we seek for God, when we try and see his hand in our lives, when we search for him, we shall find him. And that's a promise! It's a promise i know to be true!!
PONDERIZE THIS WEEK- psalms 31:24. Just read it. It's beautiful. We find hope in the lord.
OK I FOUND ANOTHER BEAUTY OF A SCRIPTURE.
ITS IN Romans 8:35,37-39
GO READ IT RIGHT NOW,,,,BEFORE YOU CONTINUE, JUST READ THESE VERSES.
Oiiii...read the scripture...don't continue. Obedience brings blessings. Haha.
Don't you just absolutely LOVE IT. I fell in love with this.
Nothing, no power in this world can separate us from the love of God and our savior Jesus Christ. It is NOT possible. His live is ALWAYS there. No question about it. No matter who you are, what you've done, his love if there for you to feel. LOVE IT.
Well there you go, as you can see I had another really REALLY great week. Another reaaaally fast one too. It's insane. Get ready for an American accent jade when I get home. Haha. It's kind of hard..not to do the accent, haha.
Well I have some photos and videos to sent you!! So enjoy them. I know you will.
KNOW THAT I LOVE YOU...again even more this week than the last. And yes that's possible. My love just keep growing for you all every week. Your all my heroes. Seriously. I love you huge amounts.
