BONJOUR BONJOUR BONJOUR!!!!!!
So in reply to your questions....the washing: it's just in this apartment in renens. Every two weeks we have one day to do our washing!
Ok ARE YOU READY FOR MY WEEK!? HERE WE GOOOO.....
SO we had a fhe with a family on Monday. And the son: Nolan. Is leaving on his mission today actually for Canada. (I will send photos so you can put a face to a name.) anyway, we read the story of Ammon, and how he taught king Lamoni.( Alma 18:18-35) and it was so great, as he is leaving for a missionary we went through how Ammon perfectly taught kind Lamoni. He taught with the spirit, the power. He trusted in Heavenly Father. He taught simply and to the level of the Kings knowledge. All you need! If you want to be a good missionary on a mission or at home, read the story of Ammon. It was epic.
Less active miracles!!!- we passed two on Tuesday - the first one, never lets the missionaries in "my grandchildren are here" "I have the dog" etc!! So with my puppy dog eyes (ha just kidding) I said "ok can we share a quick scripture with you" and you couldn't say no! Haha and she let us in because "otherwise the neighbors will hear!!" HAHAHA we may have to teach the importantance of courage and missionary work!! Haha
The other was a Chilean couple, and they haven't been to church in a long time. She miraculously lets us in, and we share our message, we sat talking and laughing, and even sang in spainish (that was interesting) but she had a favourite hymn so we sang it. It was a special moment for them!!
MIRACLE- our ami . He came to church on his own last week saying he spoke with me on a bus a long time ago and was searching for the church here in renens. And finally found it. We taught him this week twice and the second time he remembered everything from the first, he literally sat there recounting the story of restoration and he kept saying "it's just so interesting to me" we gave him a Book of Mormon. And at the end he asked us "can you please pray for me, so that the spirit can teach me that this is true?" It was incredible and the spirit was strong. He came to church again yesterday!!
ZONE TRAINING- this week with elder spoors! Woo! Haha it was all focused on obedience. And how if we are exactly obedient to the missionary guidelines and the commandments on our mission we will be easily guided by the spirit, as we will be worthy to have the spirit with us. And it is the same life outside of the mission, exact obedience to the commandments brings blessings, and you will have the spirit to be with you!!
One thing, the president has changed is we can listen to any music now, which invites the spirit. So I was thinking if I could ask you to send me an efy cd? Because I love it sooo much!!?
So the baptism, it did not happen this weekend. It was an incredible experience this week. So he had his interview with our district leader. And after the interview we receive a call saying he has not been feeling good about his baptism all day, and feels it would be best to postpone it for two weeks, so that he is more fully prepared. It was kind of hard to take in, as to us he was prepared for baptism, and we had to tell him. This was the DAY BEFORE his baptism. We phoned all the members and told them. And we met with our ami. And it was an answer to our prayers. We prayed so hard to be able to tell him in the best way possible. And he said "ok, that's fine, if the lord wants me to be baptised in two weeks, then I will be baptised in two weeks!!" WHAT!! It was truly a miracle. So he is now being baptised in two weeks. And we will be more fully preparing him. It was amazing to see how inspired our district leader was too. As the next lesson we had with our ami, we both felt he needed these next two weeks too!!
MIRACLE- I was on the bus ready to get off. And a man saw my badge and says in English "latter day saints!!" I asked him how he knew. And he explained how he was living in Canada for his studies and he went to our church there with his friends, and he took the lessons from the missionaries too! And now he is here in Swiss. He has on,y been here for two months. And we are seeing him this week to continue the lessons. It was a miracle. I know that we were on that bus, at that specific time, I stood at the same door for that reason. We were guided.
So this week another ysa received her mission call to Tahiti!!! She is awesome, teaching with us at least twice a week! A real hero! (I'll send a photo of me and her too)
STUDIES- we taught tithing on Sunday and I loved this quote "in paying tithing, we return one tenth of our increase to the lord. In keeping his sabbath day holy, we reserve one day in seven as his. So it is our privilege to consecrate both our time and money to him who lends us life each day..." - I loved teaching tithing. We do it it because it is a commandment. We keep the commandments because we love God. God has giving us everything.
"What an amazing source of power, of strength and of comfort that is available to each of us..he who knows us better than we know ourselves, he who sees the larger picture, he who knows the end from the beginning, has assured as that he will always be there..."pray always and be believing, and all things shall work together for your good."
Heavenly Father sees the larger picture, and he promises to be there with us every step of the way. We need to talk to him, tell him our hopes, our fears and our dreams. And because he loves us he will always answer, not always in the way we would like. But he will always answer us.
So this week we have the baptism OF ANNE CHARLOTTE!!!! SO EXCITEEEED!!! She actually called me this week and asked me to share my testimony At her baptism. So that was really lovely!! We also have a joint RENENS and Lausanne activity on Friday! So it's going to be a great week!!!
I can't believe this next week is the half way of the transfer!! Crazy!!
Have an ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE WEEK.
KNOW THAT I LOVE YOU OK!!!!!
LOVE YOUR ONE AND ONLY...
