BONJOUR TO THE BEST FAMILY THERE IS!!!!!!
Wow wow wow you are not going to believe where I am right now...haha transfer day today!!! You would never guess it. Took me completely by surprise...but because I love you I'm going to make you wait until the end of my beautiful email....mwaha...don't you dare skip to the end. Patience is a virtue ;)
Mum it was crazy to receive the plane ticket this week too!! I can't believe it. Early start it is. Haha! I can't believe I am down to my last transfer of the mission. This is not real!! I am so excited to work hard and have so much fun and then see you at the end of it...AHHHHH!!!
I loved the pictures of the family, round grandma and grandads home too. I miss those guys! Can't wait to see them all. We are so blessed to have the family we do!!
OK HERE WE GOOOO........
Ok let's start off with the bIg miracle moment of the week. So last week we were on the bus and we drove past these four big, apartment buildings! And I immediately got the impression that we needed to be there and that we needed to go back and knock on all those doors (I forgot the word in English for knocking on doors, the missionary term? We call it porting? But I know that's not it. Anyway...) so this week we found the time to go back and start porting the very first building. Well guided by the spirit and of course people already prepared for us inside, we walked out of that building having spoken to 25 people about who we are and why we are here and the church of Jesus Christ. We taught four lessons on the gospel of Jesus Christ and we have two new Amis. Two people who were so prepared and ready to hear our message.
I believe all the people we spoke to and contacted were prepared but at different levels. But we found them and it was such a miracle. And we still have the 3 other buildings to do!!! Miracles to come. Well I won't be porting them because I am no longer there...but the other sisters will find those people. (Gave you a little hint there that I'm not staying in ecully...but where ;)
We had two district meetings this week. Which is always so inspiring and so much fun!
A few little gems I got from them:
* "perfection is the goal not the starting point."
* our district leader got out a belt. And asked me to explain why it is precious. And it was really different and then I looked and saw that it was a Gucci belt. And then it suddenly became more precious to everyone I was explaining it to, because we knew it's worth. He then turned to one of the elders and handed him the Book of Mormon and asked him again to explain why it is so precious. Well this was so much easier, he bore solemn testimony of its value and importance. And why? Because he knew of its worth. I just absolutely loved this message. We have the Book of Mormon, and we know of its worth. Others do not, they see it as a book but it is so much more than just any old book. It can change lives, I know because it's changed mine and I see it change people's lives everyday.
* he was speaking about companionship unity, and he used a quite I liked "alone, we can go faster, together we can go further." I loved this! Thought it was really cute.
So we taught J this week of course. She is adorable. And at the end of the lesson she prayed and thanked God for sending us to help her and prayed that we would both stay because she needed us!!! :(
Miracle happened with her this week too. She came to v baptism and felt the spirit and she wants to definitely be baptized. At the end she said "you have to come to my baptism!" So she is ready!! And we had a ward activity for Father's Day and HER MUM CAME. Miracle of the century and she absolutely loved it, made so many friends. And I was just speaking with her alone at the table and she said "I feel at home here, she loves being here." I said how we love her. And her mum just looked at me and said "this is God." As if to say "this is God who has done this." I said yes it is!! It was so cool to see her accept and realize why her daughter comes and wants to be baptized. I cannot wait for this!!
I just want to put a random note in for the sisters I am surrounded by, the Val de soane sisters have become some of my closest friends, and on Thursday night we slept over there's because it's a little thing we do before transfer calls on the Friday morning. And we had so much fun, ate a lot...and laughed even more!! Haha I am just so happy!! So lucky to be surrounded by these people.
So Saturday was v's baptism. It was just . Incredible. So elder spoors baptized him. And I actually may of cried a little when I was seeing Sam baptize him, it just made me so happy and proud of v and of Sam! It was so cool. V bore his testimony afterwards and starting crying even and the spirit was just so strong.
So here is what you all have been waiting for. The big announcement. SOOOO WHO IS READY!!???? Here we go...
So me and Soeur brouillet are both LEAVING!! So we are being whitewashed out (meaning both missionaries leave.) BUT here's the click we are staying together!!! We are both going to whitewash ....................
GENEVA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! For my very last transfer of my mission, I have been assigned to return to my one and only Geneva. You do not even understand how excited I am. I am back in Geneva lac. And I am tooooooo HAPPY!!!!! President has made Geneva lac the stl sisters, so we are the stls for the whole of Swiss. Which means I will be doing exchanges in places like Lausanne and Annemasse!!! So I can see all my lovelies!! Haha I CANNNNNTTTT WAITTTT!!!! I know this is inspiration and I really feel something miraculous is going to happen, I feel like there's someone who needs me here and I'm here to do what I maybe didn't do before, or I'm here to find someone I failed to find before or help someone! We will see. But family you can imagine, Geneva was like...my FAVOURITE haha! So I am so excited!!
I'm back in the house! And I love my companion, we are so happy to be staying together. And so excited to work with everyone here!!!
Ahhhhhhh I can't stop smiling. I'm so lucky. We have soooo much to do in so little time, it's going to be a bussssyyyyy transfer! But I am so excited for it. So mum send the lenses to the Geneva house address :)
It's literally like a little dream come true that I've been sent back here. I was very sad to leave ecully. I loved it. J cried and wrote me a letter. It was really sad, but I know she and the others will be in good hands!!
I am so excited for these next six weeks! They are seriously going to be so epic.
Ok studiessss.....
"The future of the world has been declared..there is absolutely no question who wins because the victory has been noted on the scoreboard..we are here on the earth choosing which team we want to support...Which team will you be on when the whistle blows?"
- We all know who wins at the end, we know who's side we need to be on. We're here to choose a side. The whistle could blow any minute. Are you on the right side or are there some things keeping you from joining him! Christ is there, through him we can be made clean from our past mistakes. Any guilt we have can be completely taken away and turned into peace. There is no better feeling than knowing you stand, worthy on the winning side. That's my goal for the rest of my life! I'm not perfect, no one is...well mum and dad you've got to be pretty close..haha.but we all make mistakes and we all need saving some time or another. Life really is amazing when you know who you are, where you stand, what you stand for...
Something I've learnt throughout my mission is the importance of my personal choice to be happy or not. I know that everyday even the ones, where everything seems to go wrong, if we make that one choice, that can only be made, by us. Everything changes and our vision changes, our attitude changes, our life changes for the better because it's a happier one. So choose to be happy :)
I just love you all SOOOOO much if only you knew. You really are my heroes. And I thank you for all you do for me every week!! Alright here we go family, the last six weeks...not that we're counting or anything!! ;)
Have an epic week!!!!!
LOVE YOUR ONE AND ONLY....
