BONJOURRRRRRRRRRR!!!!
Hahahahaha mum I loved the whole if a door closes in your face, it is pointing you to another one!! Haha. I've had a few little door closing in my face moments this week! Haha. But it's not meant to be easy and smooth sailing because it wasn't easy or smooth sailing for him. So it's great! I am in love with my mission!!!!
ERM where on earth did that week just go? Someone? Anyone!! Haha. QUICKEST week of my life (but I think I say that quite a lot) haha. WHAT A WEEK!!!
You guys better be ready to hear it because I'm ready to write it...haha HERE WE GOOOOO.....
So first things first. Funniest moment this week was at the very beginning. We nearly contacted ourselves. We were praying to know who to speak to and from far off we see two ladies. So we start walking towards, and we didn't even realize...IT WAS A MIRROR. HAHAHAHAHA!! It was hilarious. We both cracked us laughing. Oh I do love moments like that.
Sooo in the fhe on Monday. We were joking around sharing experiences of when as missionaries we say to people.. "Hey I like your tie" and they just take it off and hand it over to you. Well the next day, we were kind of lost looking for a members address so we asked a lady for help. And she helped us out. And she wasn't homeless, but ITS FREEZING here and she didn't have a lot on her. And she turns to sister rauzduel and says "I like your scarf, it's so beautiful." And my companion took it off straight away and gave it to her. I wish you could of looked into the eyes of the woman like I did. Man, she was so grateful. So just for the scarf, but for the kindness that was shown to her. And that sums up my companion too. Always giving to others, not thinking of ourselves. She gives all. What an example!
So at the beginning of the week, like ALL, EVERY SINGLE ONE of our rdvs fell through. The people didn't show up, didn't tell us, etc etc! Haha. So it was a little tough! BUT I know that Heavenly Father planned people for this. If our rdvs didn't go through he had already placed people to be in our paths. We ended up contacting a lot this week, and we have met SO many wonderful people, had so many wonderful experiences and I feel so lucky. Even if one thing doesn't work out, another thing always does. There are always miracles on a mission because it's the lords work. He always prepares for us; someone who needs to meet us, someone who needs help, or someone who just needs to see our badges and refuse the message. We never know.
IT SNOWED!!!... And then it melted within a few hours! But still. It snowed and it was BEAUTIFUL!! ...which also means it's suddenly got ABSOLUTELY FREEZING!! I forgot my gloves one day, and we were contacting and they were red, my hands! Haha. Soldier. Not really but hey! It's just really really cold. But thank you for all the hand warmers!! I am LOVING THEM!!
So remember I spoke about a friend of ours last week well we went to see her again this week. And here comes another miracle. Because she has lost sooo much weight, from lack of food, none of her clothes fit her! So she was praying really really hard to find a way to get clothes. Well she woke up one morning and something told her "go take your trash out, you need to take it out.." And she wasn't feeling great, so she didn't want to. But it came again "do it now,," so she did. And there was a suitcase by the bins. Normally she wouldn't touch anything near the bins. But she opened it up and it was full of clothes, all her size!!!! What an absolute miracle. She is being watched over! The only thing that wasn't her size were the pair of jeans, she really needs trousers! So who comes along, us! And we had a pair of jeans in the house that no one uses, so we thought in the morning to give them to her. And guess what. Her size. Miracles everywhere. I know it may seem like something small but it was huge and it was incredibly humbling to be a part of it.
We had ZONE TRAINING this week. Woo! So I got to see sister stapley!! (I have pictures to send...OF COURSE!!haha) it was, hands down (no offense to any other zone conferences I've had...no hard feelings now) haha...but hands down the most spiritual conference I have been in. A lot of us were crying. Let's just say! Just I don't know if you remember me speaking about the video "the atonement and missionary work"?? I had watched it before in a conference with president Roney. Well we watched it together, and we all cried. Haha. It was so powerful, the spirit was super strong! And if you haven't found it or watched it yet....I invite you TO FIND IT AND WATCH IT!! :)
We spoke a lot about families too, so you all came up...well I spoke about you. Haha. Stars!!! Because president would like us to focus on forever families. And when contacting for example to speak to families, let them know they can be together forever. Letting them know their family matters and is important! It made me, YET AGAIN, very thankful to you. For all that have done, will do and do for me!! The values you broth our family up on. I am eternally grateful!! (Toy story..aliens voice....haha...sorry DEFINATELY just killed that nice moment.)
We visited a less active for the first time in months today, finally got to see her, and her husband joined us for the message too. It was so lovely. They both fell the spirit. And well, she came to church on Sunday. MIRACLE.
OK ALSO funniest moment I have to share (again I hope it's funny) we were round a less actives home and their dog got hold of the lady's scarf (the lady was coming to inspect the home..or something like that) and the dog was biting it and ripping it, and well we didn't realize, and then we realized and tried to get it back. But he wouldn't let go of it. Hahaha. And then we heard the lady coming to leave and we panicked so we like fought this dog for this scarf. And just as she turned the corner we got it and put it back where she left it. She put it on and it was all wet!! Hahaha. We thought we got away without saying anything...but the husband who saw it all...blurts out "the dog likes your scarf!!" Hahahahaha!! She gave him the biggest evils and then left. Haha. It was hilarious!!
ANYWAY not important....
My FAVOURITE rdv this week was DEFINATELY with our ami, Francis. He owns a library cafe. It's a little cafe, inside your surrounded by books , really old books and there's pianos and classical music playing. And well after we had finished teaching him. Sister rauzduel was playing the piano for him, and he was singing this old, classical song and I was dancing like the olden times. Hahahahaha. It was a little magical moment. And I loved it! Hahah...the mission makes you crazy.... Kidding! It's the greatest thing.
So you ready for my studies....thought SOO....
Ponderizing this week: LUKE 1:37 - with God. Nothing is impossible. Nothing!
- ether 12:4 - faith is the anchor, it is what keeps us strong when the waves get tough!!
So this is a little extract from a talk I read:
"Standing irresolute, she inquired of the Cheshire cat, which had suddenly appeared in a nearby tree, which path she should take. “Where do you want to go?” asked the cat.
"I don’t know,” said Alice.
"Then,” said the cat, “it really doesn’t matter, does it?”
We know where we want to go. Do we have the resolution--even the faith--to get there?" Thomas s monson.
- I loved this because. It's true we know where we want to get to. We want to live eternally as families in the presence of Heavenly Father. Forever. But are we making goals to get there? Are we living our life in the direction of reaching our goal. I think heaven,y father is so pleased with us for trying. But never give up. It's like playing the piano or playing a sport, if you fail or the first few notes or the first few practices and give up you don't progress. You just stop. The key is to keep going. Even though I fall short a lot!! I don't give up, you don't give up either and I'm so thankful for your examples. Of not giving up or letting go. But holding fast and continuing on with a huge smile on your faces. I love you all!
-President Thomas S. Monson has taught us that “men cannot really long rest content with mediocrity once they see excellence is within their reach.” How, then, could we be content with anything short of exaltation if we know that exaltation is possible?"
- I loved this. Excellence is within our reach. Exaltation is in our reach. And we know what we have to do to get it too. So we should not, ever ever ever settle for anything less. It's not worth it. Giving your all, even if it's harder than settling for something less all the work will all be worth it in the end. You'll see!!!!
So this coming week. We have an stl exchange and then we have a special missionary broadcast which I'm really looking forward too. We also have a zone finding day here in Geneva which I always enjoy, so I have a feeling it's going to be an epic week!!! Here we go!! I'm so excited!!
I love hearing how happy you all are. And how well you are all doing. GO HAVE ANOTHER AMAZING WEEK!! And tell me all about it!!
OH I DO LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!!!!!!
LOVE YOUR ONE AND ONLY....
