BONJOUR
can you believe that another week has flown by?? ME NEITHER!!!
I am excited to get the parcel!! ahhhh and yes it is going to be very weird not being with you all for my birthday!! But thank you for sending a parcel...im a little excited...just a little AHHHHH haha!!! I LOVE YOU ALL!!
I will just sing ``for shes a jolly good fellow`` to myself in the morning!! haha!!
Can you believe that we have hit July?? i mean really people. where is this year going....
So i remembered from our Skype call Amy asked me for a cool word in french. and on the spot i couldn't really think of one. WELL I FOUND ONE THIS WEEK. it is `` arc-en-ciel`` which is a rainbow in french. but it translates to an arc in heaven!! so cool right? ams that ones for you!!
So are you ready for my week....i thought so!!!! HERE WE GOO.....
so i found a really great scripture in my studies this week : mosiah 16:9 ``he is the light and the life of the world, yea a light that is endless...that can never be darkened...`` I loved it so much i had to share it with you! because christ is the light of this world. And his light can never ever be darkened, its simply there. I believe the light can never be darkened, but i personally believe this light can always be brightened through us. Ive said this before, but we are where we are in this world for a reason, because we have this light and we need to share it.
MIRACLE - There is a Less active - who no members have had contact with in a very long time. because the members told us to call her before going. well...we decided not to call and just pass by...and we were able to set a RDV with her and she is so great. she has a little girl about 5 years old and we are now seeing her every week!!
SO drum roll please....sister fagg went to Geneva on an exchange...speaking spainish!! hahaha!! it was SO much fun!! obviously alot of translating went on...but it was so great! And they alll thought i was spainish..so i fit right in! haha!! i was having to say all day...im not spainish...then they would say well where...erm england...then they would say..no really where?? south america somewhere?? NO ENGLAND!! hahaha!!!
The exchange started off hilarious...we got on the train and as the train was pulling away i heard a knock on the window and sister wilsher and her companion were running along the train, i thought they were waving goodbye but they were doing a phone signal with their hands because we still had their phone on us!! hahaha!! it was so funny!
But overall the exchange was great! They have a 17 year recent convert and she is incredible.. she has her eyes fixed on a temple marriage and she is not settling for anything else, she has an incredible testimony and its just so great to see a young woman with her eyes fixed on the temple!!
so this week i had my second hospital trip of the mission! haha sr camus has an inflamed something in her wrist!! but this time it was only 3 hours wait! so its all good!! haha!!
(i sent you a photo of it...)
CUTE PORTING EXPERIENCE - we were porting (Tracting) a building and an adorable old lady opened and immediately let us in. and we sat and spoke about her ancestors and she shared photos with us. And i love moments like these when you can just see how important it was for her to speak to people and have people listen to her!! it was such a spiritually happy experience!!
Even if she couldn't understand me and sr wilsher because she was deaf. the whole time we were literally shouting!! haha!!
So elder spoors has probably said in his email! but he is not in martigny anymore so he wasnt at the mission conference this weekend!!!! i was so upset!! i was so excited to see him!! we have the rest of our missions so im sure i will serve near him again! i hope so!!
The mission conference was absolutely incredible. President and sister Brown are so great. He really is going to do incredible things here you can just see it.
he spoke about the importance of seeing the end at the beginning. And how we need to act with our future generations in mind. we need to ask ourselves ``what do we want to leave for them, what legacy do we want to leave behind.`` he spoke on how we are all part of a chain and we are all a link. If one of us drops out the chain is broken. it only takes one to break the chain thats how important we are!!
He showed one of my favourite video on missionary work and the atonement and elder bednar says `` when we feell like we have given all we have, and want to rest, remember him- After the excruciating suffering he went through he went on to preach in the spirit world. he did not stop! and neither can we``` made me think of alot of our leaders. I have many examples i can think of! and its helped me on my mission. When some days may be harder than others i think of those examples and christ and realise there is always more i can give!!!
STUDY- ``in this genius gospel plan, there is ultimately one important witness, and that is you. The testimony of others may initiate and nourish ours but eventually every individual must find out for themselves. no one can permanently endure on borrowed light!`` - i LOVE THIS!! the important of finding our own testimony of the restored gospel. others testimonies can strengthen ours and help us to find our own but we MUST find our own. Otherwise in times of trial we will not be strong enough!
Ok here comes the embarrassing moment of the week for you!! drum roll please.... haha!!
so we went to the castle again...but the other sisters havent gone. and we went into the toilets and i open a door because it was unlocked and i went in backwards and was like shutting the door when a little voice came behind me, and an older lady was just sitting on the toilet HAHAHAHAHA!!!! it was so funny! but sooo embarassing!!!!
anyway.....
We had a baptism of one of the primary children this week. it was so cool. he bore his testimony afterwards and it was so cute!! And the missionaries sang for him! (i know your proud) haha! and then on saturday we had a 4th of july picnic with one of our american members in the ward!! i have sent some pictures!!
FUNNY MOMENT - in mission conference. we have a sister who needs translation into french because she doesnt speak very good english. So elder price was translating at the back- And then as a part of the assistants lesson they played a clip from the lion king ``hukana mutata`` and we just hear him at the back singing into the microphone for the translate and he is trying to translate the song into french and he was singing..it was just so funny! but it may of had to be.. ```you had to be there`` moment! sorry!!
So this week has been absolutely amazing!! we only have 2 weeks of this transfer left so we are working as hard as we can!! This week we have lost a few amis! which is very sad, but we are not loosing hope and we will find new people this week who the lord has prepared for us. I know that he guides this work. I know he gives us harder moments to strengthen and mold us into becoming the children he knows we can become.
I know this church is true. With all my heart i know that it is true. keep sharing and living what you claim to believe. I love who you all are. i love your examples! Thank you so much for being so incredible!! i say it everyweek but its because i need you to know!
Have another amazing week!!
I LOVE YOU MORE THAN YOU WILL EVER KNOW!!
LOVE YOUR ONE AND ONLY...
