OK so now about the week i have had. Another epic one of course, full of challenges and blessings and more challenges and more blessings.
Ok one huge scary thing this week, we were not allowed to take any notes into our lessons, so we had to do everything by heart, memorisation, etc etc it was super hard but oh my goodness heavenly Father is definately watching over me. There is noooooo way i would be able to do any of this without his help and guidance and MORE HELP! haha its amazing. i love him.
Ok so crazy thing happened yesterday, me and sister Mcclellan were walking around the hall and we saw the other's sisters who are going to lyon, France. So we sat down and started talking, then this couple walks over and says they are investigators and wanted to speak with the spainish missionaries but they are not there, they asked if we would speak with them. we got the chairs in a circle. and guys this is one of the most spiritual experiences i have ever had. They just started explaining their story and how in the past month everything bad has happened, he had just come from burying his mother, and they were having family issues. Her uncle had died that month who she was close with and then her daughter or niece had just given birth to her first baby, but it was still born. She started to cry and explained how this mother is struggling tremendously and she has no idea what to tell her to give her hope. I jumped right in and explained how we belive that families can be together forever, i then felt inspired to share our story of Emily, we all got very emotional and i explained how hard it was for our family, and how much strength we got from knowing we will see our loved ones again after this life, then i told her how i know what brought my mother comfort was to know that she would get the opportunity to raise Emily again in the next life. Mother's will have this opportunity. She could not believe it, she was so happy she said i am going to tell her this. Then we sisters went on to speak about life after this life and the husband got teary saying he thought his mother was going to hell because she was not religious, after we explained about the chance people have to accept the gospel in the spirit world. i have never seen somebody's expression change so quickly. It was like this burden and worry was lifed from his shoulders. anyway they had to go, but have asked to come and be taught by us again tomorrow. SO EXCITED!
We had a really spiritual experience in class this week too. Sister Worsham got us all in a circle. and we read 3rd nephi chaptre 11 together - after a few verses she would stop us and get us to imagine it happening now, everywhere around you is being destroyed, then you hear this voice. Then you see this glorious being coming down from the heavens and then you meet him, you see Christ's face, you feel the prints in his hands you get to hug him and kiss his feet!! then she paused and said....why do YOU believe in Christ?? Why are you here. We all went around and it was sooo amazing to hear everyone's stories and testimonies.
Oh another scary thing. My teacher Brother Nash sat in his chair and said " today we are doing popcorn teaching" - and what it is, is he is the investigator and we are all going to teach him as a class, whoever he looks at teaches, but half way through sentence he can look at somebody else and they would have to take off. In french this is aswell!! My heart..can you imagine! hahaha but it went so well. It came to me and i taight him how we pray....dont know how but i remembered how to somehow. The lord again helping me out!! HE is forever helping me!!
It snowed a tiny bit this week. It turned really cold. Got my gorgeous thick coat on!! haha muhumma you genius!!
Ok so sunday was great, We watched the film Legacy, which i kind of remember watching somewhere i cant remember......but that was great!
Our teacher in relief society was the 2nd counsellor on the General relief society presidency - linda reeves. She was great!
here come the few little quotes from the devotional i jotted down...
" we need to know who the enemy is." (kinda reminded me of hunger games ...haha anywaaay)
" fear is the opposite of faith"
" Know that we stoof by god, loyally before this earth, we chose him and we did not flinch."
" if only we could see the end from the beginning - you would be able to see how it was all worth it"
This week i have learn't to recognise how much, truly how much God and my Saviour Jesus Christ loves me. so i wrote my testimony on the saviour in my journal one night and i feel i need to put it in for you to hear:
So the saviour has been coming up ALOT this past week...Christ suffered for every single one of us. and what makes me angry is he suffered for those who crucified him, and they didn't even know it. And what makes it even more remarkable is on the cross, whilst suffering his death, as perfect as he is, had the strength to say "forgive them for they know not what they do". What a perfect example of love, unconditional love, he performed the greatest act of kindess, the greatest act of love anyone could ever commit. No one could ever love me like my saviour does, no one could ever suffer for me like my saviour did, no one can ever give me what he has given. and the worst thing is to know i caused some of his pain in the garden. and i wish i could take it back and suffer it myself, because it hurts so much that i contributed to that. Anyway, sorry if this is a bit deep haha i just wanted to share my love for Christ with you beautiful people. I just need to you to know i much i love him and how much i am soooooooo thankful for him and his example. He is THE perfect example and im so excited to invite more people to follow it.
