BONJOUR MA FAMILLLEEEEEE AND FRIENDS!!!!!
WOW!!! Another week gone, can't believe it!!!
Well I'm glad people can see how happy I am. Because I REALLY AM!! I'm glad that's coming across how it really is!!!! Haha. Man I wish I could put into words how happy I am!!! But I can't. I just feel so blessed and lucky and just completely happy.
so I know I don't even need to ask...but dad loves it...who's ready for my epic week??? KNEW IT!!! Here we GOOO.....
MIRACLE- We had a miracle at the start of last week. We got in contact with an ami who the missionaries had lost contact with. We went straight into the temple. At first she didn't say much and then she was silent and all she said was "wow" we were a little nervous at what this "wow" meant. But it meant that she wants her family sealed in the temple for all eternity. She had never heard of the temple, as when she was taught before, the temple was not something missionaries taught straight away. She was just filled with joy. And she wants to be BAPTISED! Miracle. There really is no greater work than this!
With this same woman, some of the things she said during our rdv. I was sitting there and a line from my patriarchal blessing came straight to mind. And in that moment I just knew that I was sent here for her. I am very excited to help her get to the temple.
Another little miracle...or a tender mercy. As we got into the rdv my companion remember that we were actually in a red zone!! It was at night. So we were not supposed to be there. Obviously we were a little nervous leaving the rdv etc. but a bus was not supposed to come for a while and it came straight away! I see that as a miracle!!
We got another new ami this week. And we had the first rdv. He was nearly in tears as we introduced the Book of Mormon to him. This book is powerful. And is a life changer!! I'm so excited for him to read it and gain his witness!!
I'm so thankful for the witness I have that the Book of Mormon is true. I know the ore we read it and the more we apply its teachings into our lives. The more happier we will be and the closer we will become to our savior, Jesus Christ.
BUSINESS CONTACTING!! Mum you wanted to hear a little about this. So we found a cute little smoothie, milkshake shop. The owner is the only one who works there, it's only been open one year. And we just went in and sparked her up!! Got a milkshake and now we have a little relationship with her. We can go back and we have told the elders to go in and pass her too! We will see.
We had ward council the middle of the week. And we were discussing all the things we are going to be doing for Noel!!! All the activities and missionary work. Excited to see the new Christmas video at the end of November to share! It got me so excited for Noel!!!!!! NEXT MONTH PEOPLE. Anyway....
FINDING DAY - in Geneva this week with all the zone. And guess who I was with for the first part....SOEUR WILSHER!!!! Haha. Dream team!!! And we had miracle...we contacted this man, Freddy. And we met him at the perfect time. He had just stopped praying as he had given up, because his answer never came. And then then we met him and were placed in his path to tell him never to give up. I asked him "what are you expecting as an answer?" And it's interesting as people are expecting a huge sign but normally it is thought small and simple ways that our prayers are answered. Well he said he would pray and if he gets his answer then he will call the missionaries. So I will keep praying for that.
Friday- I had an exchange with sister arechaga. Don't know if you remember her as this is our second exchange. But I really love her. She is awesome. We had a miracle lesson together with our ami. Who is looking to just find more faith. And we taught her how she can have a personal relationship with God. She was just shocked that she could actually have a relationship with Heavenly Father!! I love testifying of things like this, because it's something I treasure. My relationship has never been stronger and it continues to strengthen as I tell him my hopes, fears and dreams!! I love the relationship we can all have with our Heavenly Father who loves us perfectly.
BAPTISM!! Ahhhhhh our ami got baptised!!!! It's amazing to see the fruits of ALOT of missionaries efforts. He has been being taught for two years so a lot of missionaries contributed to this baptism. It was such a spiritual experience it was at the Geneva lake!! And it's been freezing here...but not on Saturday..nope it was like a summers day!!! So blessed. It was incredible. And there were a circle of stones which we sat around and sang etc, the spirit was there. And he DEFINATELY felt it. He had a huge smile on his face!!
On Saturday we had the best day ever. So we had the baptism and then we had the marriage of our ami!! Up in the MOUNTAINS. It was incredibly breath taking!!!
I will send you all pictures!!!! And even though at the wedding we were not there to do proselyting ...there were guests coming up and asking us who we were, what was our badge etc! It was great! You never know!!
But....so much for no sugar November!!! It was a marriage which means there was a buffet of desserts. I couldn't help it. You just can say no!!!
On Sunday a girl bore her testimony at the end of her talk. And all she said was " I know that this is the only true church." And it was just so simple, yet so powerful. And if I could say one thing to you as my testimony it would be that too! That I know that we are a part of the only true church. I wouldn't of felt what I did throughout this weekend if it wasn't true!! :)
STUDY TIME-
I watched the film "legacy" yesterday evening. Which I think you've all seen. Got to love it. I love right right at the end she is speaking to her grandson and she hands him her Book of Mormon and just says "make sure this legacy of faith doesn't die..." I love it. Because I too have a legacy of faith. And I can tell you now, it is NOT dying with me! I will continue the legacy of faith. May we all continue our legacies of faith and not let it die!!!!!!
Helaman 15:6 " striving with un wearied diligence" I loved this description because this is how I want to be doing missionary work. Here, striving to find my brothers and sisters diligently, but not just in diligence but UNWEARIED diligence!! In D&C 123:13 (I think) it says how we should be wearing out our lives in the work! Are we diligent enough? I always ask myself that. And I usually receive something in my head that I could be more diligent in!
D&C 123:17 - do the work. But do it CHEERFULLY!! We are here to be happy, so be happy! This gospel is the greatest thing I have in my life so I'm going to share it and live it cheerfully. Be cheerful!
I have started reading the New Testament. And it starts with Christs birth of course. And it just made me think. How his birth changed the world. And Christ changes lives. He has changed my life enormously and continues to change lives everyday. As a missionary I get to help this change come about. And it's the greatest work.
My ponderizing this week: alma 36:24!!
Well there you go. Another week gone. And I love you even more than last week. Ahaha. Never forget that! REMEMBER YOU ARE ALL MY HEROS. And I love you all individually!!
Have another epic week. Tell me all about it. Go live this happiness. And ...SMILE!!
LOVE YOUR ONE AND ONLY....
