OLLLLOOOO....(is that it?) ..Noo its HELLOOOOO!!!!
HA!! man that one is getting old! Sorry! BUT HELLO MY BEAUTIFUL FAMILY and Friends!!!
Sister Roney said she would put up some photos glad you got to see them! The weather has beeen SOO nice here so i think i may get darker and darker as the days go by......oh man!! Mum Ouchy is amazing i will definately take you back here. Seriously Lausanne is stunning! We went to a castle today for P-Day...called `Chillon` castle? i think. The views were breath takinggg!! And Dad it was your kind of castle! haha!
Ok so about my ward!! There are around 80 active members, and alot of less active members. It actually reminds me a little of colchester because there are a load of old people! haha! But its great! The members are so lovely, there are actually only 2 young women actively coming out right now. They are Portuguese but have been here for a few years so speak French aswell!!
Ok sooooooo sister Faggs week... it has been OF COURSE another amazing week! But a very different week to the others, as it is the Easter holidays ALOT of our appointments with everyone fell through - and we are telling ourselves it is because of the holidays haha!!...so we had alot of time to contact, and focus on Project Elijah etc!! So it was great!!
So a little miracle started off the week! We got onto our usual bus in the morning and as soon as i got on i felt the need to go and speak to this lady, but normally i just try and speak to the first person i see on the bus - where this lady was a whole carriage down really - so i wouldnt of normally gone over. BUT i listened and i went and sat next to her and started talking. And it led to me finding out she had been taught by some missionaries a long time ago, she is Catholic, but she remembers what was taught etc. And she took our card, so who knows. But i could of spoken to anyone on that bus but nope heavenly father wanted me to speak with her and spark those memories! Cool right!
So on Monday i was actually on exchange. So a sister from Geneva came down monday night and the whole of Tuesday! This is the exchange i was kind of worries about because i was leading it! But it was actually really great. At the end of an exchange you are supposed to do an evaluation and one thing she said was how she noticed how much i smiled during the whole day. no matter what i was facing i was always smiling. and she said to me `keep your smile, its contagious!` SO even if the day was hard im glad i was still smiling through it!! lucy i loved one of the quotes you put on the package `everyone smiles in the same language!`
We had a really cool experience with our Ami: (Friend = Investigator) this week, She is ready for baptism but is afraid to set a date. SO we went through all the baptismal questions with her and she answered all of them, testifying with each one. The spirit was so strong.
We had Zone conference this week! With President and Sister Roney IT WAS INCREDIBLE!! they are so great. Sister Roney spoke about how when we plant a seed in the ground for a garden, we never know if it is going to grow or not, and some seeds grow and some seeds dont. and we dont really know why, but the most important thing is that we plant that seed. IT IS THE SAME with the gospel. We dont know if that person is going to accept the gospel, some do and some dont. They have their agency. But the important thing is that we plant a seed into their hearts!! I loved this analogy!
She went on to explain that alot of the time we dont plant these seeds because we are fearful. Luke 8:50 ( i think ) says `fear not, believe only` (something along those lines) .. we need to trust in the lords strength alot more than we do i think. I think that is the key. To come to know how strong and how trustworthy the Lord really is!!
Also at the conference they read out a note from you mum i think...about my qualities etc! So thank you!! thank you for telling everone i sing.......hahaha! LOVE YA!
Ahhh ok in study this week i was looking through my conference notes and i found the talk of David A Bednar. And i loooooved it!! The one about Peter walking on water, and how he only starting to fall when he took his eyes off of the saviour. The same thing happens to us. As we start to take our eyes off of the saviour we start to fall and lose our way. If we continue to have our eyes fixed on the saviour our foundation will be solid and we will not fall!!
So as i said this week we have been contacting alot! We went to a park in Lausanne and the mountains are like right there, and the lake and ahhh i am listing these places to take you all. You will die!! Anywayyyy....so the contacting. The family questionaire is catching soo many peoples hearts!! One lady we contacted on the street started to cry as she spoke about how her grandmother is the most influential person in her life and explaining to us why. These feelings we help them feel about their family leads them to wanting to see us again and speak more. ITS SO GREAT!!
Ok DRUM ROLL PLEASE....for sister faggs proud weekly eating achievement.....SUSHI!!!!! AHHHH!! hahaha I DID NOT LIKE IT. but of course i ate it!!!! Be proud. Thank you thank you!!
Even though this week most of all plans fell through, all cancelled etc heavenly father blessed us with little miracles along our way! FOR example. On friday all of our RDV`s cancelled so we had been contacting alot and then even members were cancelling on us etc BUt on the last bus home, we were singing in English on the bus and we got off at our stop. And a chinese student who was sitting behind us came up to us, and said you speak english?? and we ended up exchaging numbers and inviting him to a YSA activity we are putting on, on Saturday!! IF we hadnt of sang in english on that bus he wouldnt of approached us!! Because he spoke no french! SO a lovely little miracle! :)
Another miracle. We got a call from a man named Allan. Who sister francis had contacted on the bus last week. He said how after there discussion he went for a walk and thought about it for a while and wants to know more. So we are actually seeing him tonight! But he called us!! Amazing!!
FUNNIEST thing!! You know heart attacking people?? putting hearts on their doors with notes etc!! So we did this to our ami`s - at one of theirs - they live in an apartment building so we had to be soooo quiet and tiptoe to the door, sticking these hearts on, as i was sticking some one i saw the handle move!!! So i ran to where sister francis was just behind this wall. Literally like 2 metres from their door. And our ami`s came out and were so happy but obviously the whole point is not getting caught. So we were up against this wall. We could see them and im surprised they didnt hear us because we were lauging (you know the laugh you do when your not supposed to be laughing!! your supposed to be silent!) HA!! anyway they left down the lift. We waited. Went down the lift and the lift doors opened at the bottom floor,.and who is standing right there because they forgot something...OUR AMIS!! hahaha FAIL!!!
So just to finish i have been studying Charity this week in person study! and my quote for myself..so when i feel like i dont have enough charity etc is to tell myself; `love him/her like Christ would..` i was actually reading in Ether 12:32-34 - and it explains how in order to inherit the mansions the father has prepared for us in his kingdom we NEED to have charity. I was like WOW. ok i need to make this a priority. So i have!! I am focusing on loving everyone to my maximum ability. Because Charity is the pure love of Christ! If we love everyone like Christ would then we are doing great!! I love the bible dictionary explanation on Charity too!! it says: `its the highest, noblest, strongest kind of love`
Family you are amazing! Have another incredible week! Tell me all about it! Remember that i love you sooooooo much!! You know i do!! Keep being the amazing people you are! Stop being beautiful. Keep being incredible!!!!!
I LOVE YOU!
Love your one and only...
