oh my goodness. i feel like asking you to not email me next week....haha just kidding!! you sound like you are having the most incredible time ver!! all of our family holidays are incredible!!!! i am so sooo glad to hear how much you are all absolutely loving it...even though you are missing two vital (3 including ed) elements of a great holiday. You have done SO many cool things!! I joined you all on the ice cream front this week! on Monday it was `lush` weather so we decided to get an ice cream! (i will send some photos over!)
Your holiday literally sounds like a dream!! perfection!! It must of been hilarious you all sitting there belting out the hymny in english...only we would do that!! haha!! Now you have seen through the eyes of missionaries in there first few weeks or months of their mission every sunday!! haha!! it is incredible how blessed you are as missionaries to learn a langauge. I can understand church now...finally!! haha!!
ok are you ready for my amazing week....HERE WE GOOOO....
We had an exchange this week with our STLS! and it was incredible. I was serving with sister shields. And i love her so much!! She just loves everyone, all the time. she doesnt stop! its great!! I love exchanges because you really learn and you really see how you were definately supposed to be with that person!! For example she gave me some advice if i ever have fear or doubt on my mission, for example one weakness of mine that is contacting when on transportation..im overcoming it! But i still find it difficult sometimes. This is the advice..she said:
``when we have fears and oubts on our mission (contacting - for example), you just need to cover your name on your badge. and look at whos name is left. Look who you are standing there representing! what would he do?``
This has helped me SO much this past week! But i feel we can apply it everyday of our lives too. If any doubt or fear creeps into our lives. we can just ask ourselves what would he do! and im sure we would all do the right thing!!
- had an amazing less active visit this week. it is a family. And we met with the two young women aged daughters. they are 12 and 14. And this sunday they came to church, without their parents!!!! they came on their own!! it was such an amazing light to see. They are leading by example! Its difficult for them here, because they are the only youth. So we are really trying to contact youth and focus on reactiviting the youth here!! They reminded of a quote i love ``being different is being brave!!`` -- they stood out to all of us here, as they walked in on their own. With huge smiles on their faces! it was so great!
Weekly contacting miracle!! - she was a spainish woman. And she has friends who are members of the church. And she told us how this week she has 5 invitations to different churches and she feels like god is trying to tell her something!! haha! So she is very interested, as she knows a little already about what we believe. we are seeing her this week!! MIRACLE we were led to her.
STUDY - in alma 5 - ive been studying this week - one of my all time favourite chapters int he book of mormon. But i always have focused on the well known scriptures of this chaptre. BUT as i was studying, the verses towards the end really stood out to me! verse 60 it says ``the good shepherd doth call after you..and if you will hearken unto his voice..he will bring you into his fold`` I LOVED THIS!! Chirst is ALWAYS calling after us. Inviting us to come unto him and become more like him. We need to accept and act! make a change to become that one step closer!! great chapter!!
QUOTE of the week ( i feel like harry hill...haha) -
`` the lord CANNOT drive a parked car..``
simple but powerful!! We need to get up, tell him we are ready to run those arrands for him. tell him we are ready to be an instrument in his hands today. When we are ready and spiritually prepared each and every single day..we will see miracles and we will see blessings!!
Saturday - was our miracle day this week!!! ( all th days but anyway..) There was a huge triatholon going on in Lausanne. And the finish line was in Ouchy - and we were their contacting at the time. There were ALOT of runners (i wanted to throw pass along crads at them..but my companion thought we better not....haha) - anyway...so there were alot of people. And yet again we were guided through all these people to one man sitting on a bench (sounds like a movie trailer)... we were led to him and it was a MIRACLE: talk about people being prepared. He took a book of mormon, started reading while we were there. He wants to hear the prophets talks etc! we are seeing him this week and i cant wait!!
I dont know if you remember me speaking about our old ami who is being taught by the elders now...well on sunday he came up to me after sacrament meeting had finished. And he said ``you know one day, i am going to get up there and speak to these people..and you know what im going to speak about?`` i asked what? and he said `` you!`` (i looked at him weirdly...) and he conitued to say ``because if you hadnt of contacted me in ouchy, i would not be here and i would not be this happy...`` he shook my hand and said ``thank you``.....one of the most incredible moments on my mission so far. (i nearly cried...haha) ... But this experience has had such a huge impact on his life. Its a testimony that you just can never know how large a little tiny seed can grow into!!
ALma 26:12 - a scripture i LOVEd this week!!! ``i know that i am nothing...in his strength i can do all things!``
So this week is going to be another great one. We have an exchange tomorrow with the geneva spainish sisters, We have district meeting and a zone finding day on wednesday, and we also have transfer calls on friday morning!! EXCITING!!! its going to be such a great week i know!!
Thank you for giving me so much strength!! i love you so much more than you can imagine!! you are literally incredible. HAve another ``lush`` week
remember that i love you!!
LOVE YOUR ONE AND ONLY....
