Bonjour!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok so CAN YOU EVEN believe it!!! This is my final week then Sister Fagg hit's France!!!! Insane! I am so excited, i cannot express to you how excited i am to get to France and just be the best missionary i can be! Ok, yep i am SOOOOOOO nervous! But more excitement i think! Don't think i'll be feeling the same on Monday morning. haha!! Ok so yep, i leave on Monday morning - the 16th. So here is my flight plans:
We fly from Salt Lake to Chicago - Then we leave Chicago and fly to LONDON HEATHROW !! (going to be torture knowing how close you are to me!! haha anyway...) AND THEN - we fly to France Lyon - and should arrive their at: 11:10am. SO its like a 24 hour flight time altogether!!! And guess who's been assigned as the travel leader! ME! hahahahaa uh oh!! dont you dare laugh - i know one of you is laughing at this! I'm panicking already!!
So On sunday i was asked to give a talk in the French language on enduring to the end. It was sooooo scary. But i did it, and afterwards the Branch President came up to me and told me how impressed he was with how far my French has come from week 1 - so that made me feel kinda GREAT! hahaha!
On Friday me and Sister Wilsher were able to go to the Salt Lake Temple to do a session with the international missionaries. IT WAS SO INCREDIBLE!!! literally so different, but i cannot believe i can now say i have been inside the salt lake temple. So after the session we were given a tour around temple square - we went into the visitor's centre, and the tabernacle where the mormon tabernacle quoir perform every week - and then inside the conference centre. IT WAS SO COOL!!!! And our tour guides were two sister's who spoke French! AND one of them is from France, Lyon and her mission ends in 2 months - so who knows we could even see her on our missions!! Small world!! After our tour they drove us to the lds humanitarian aid centre? (or something like that) and we got to be part of a service project - making blankets for those who have disasters! It was so nice, i loved it! It was such a memorable experience. ESPECIALLY the spirit. The whole morning the spirit was so strong, and we could all feel it. I loved going into the visitor's centre and they have a huge statue of jesus christ (like the one in the london temple, but i think larger) with his hands open, and our tour guides said something which stood out to me, they said ' if you look at Christ, you see he is holding his hands out to us, and if you look at his feet it looks like he is about to take a step - Jesus Christ is always there, just waiting to catch us when we fall' - i loved what they said. And i know that it is true. Christ is always there for us, we are never alone.
Ok so my week has been a pretty great week. As always. I have been blessed ONCE AGAIN!! So we got to teach a lesson over skype to a lady in France, Lyon. It was so incredible. me and sister mcClellan were really nervous because it was a member lesson we were teaching and we were scared of not being able to understand her or her understand us. WE UNDERSTAND pretty much everything she said and the lesson went so well. I think she was speaking slower for us to help us as she knew we were learning, so that was so nice - that or she just speaks really slow because she is an oldie?? who knows. Either way it went great!!
So this week i've been trying to learn and use questions alot more. Inspired questions are SO important. It can change the whole feeling of the lesson and it is amazing!! So i'm happy about that!!
Ok so scary experience of the week: so our teacher - sister worsham introduced this thing called 'the hot-seat' and so what it is...is one of us individually goes up to the front and asks her to be baptised in french, and she say no every time and you have to try and solve the problem etc. But it's you infront of the whole class! So i was soooo nervous! But it went great!! It was a really good learning experience too!!
So we received 7 new sister's this week!!! Which was amazing, we actually have sister's to be training leaders too! YAY! haha - it was really nice yesterday two of the sister's had a lesson with their investigator for like the first time and they were getting really upset about it because they couldnt understand anything or reply etc. I KNEW EXACTLY how they were feeling/ But they actually came and found us and asked if we could help them and speak with them. I felt so great, that we made them feel like they could ask us about anything. and cried to us - we just made them feel so much better - we just told them what every missionary needs to know - they have been called to their mission because the Lord knows they are capable of it - there are people in Tahiti who need them and only them - and yes its a hard journey - really hard - but it will all be worth it. And we cried together and gave my 'sister fagg' hugs!! hahaha!! it was so lovely!!
Ok so quotes of the week - the last time of great devotional quotes! SO SAD:
" it is never too late to be what you might of been."
"in the waves of change, we find our true direction"
"do not let failure's set you back, but let them propel you forward"
Epic quotes right? yep i thought so too!!!
Oh, so on sunday in Relief Society - the 1st counsellor of the General YW's came to speak to us and me and my companion went up to her afterwards and gave her a hug!! CHECK ME OUT!! haha she is an incredible speaker!
One last thing...this is a long email ....i must love you musn't i....haha!! So Soeur Worsham taught us on choices. And how we all have this choice of eternal life or death (so to say) - some people right now, infact MOST people do not even know they have this choice. They dont know they have this opportunity to choose one or the other. Some don't even know the two choices! It made me think so much. How lucky we are to know these two choices and how grateful i am to have the opportunity to go and give this choice to the people of France!!
I love you all so much. You know that.
You are all absolutely amazing!!
Love your one and only,
Sister Fagg! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
