BONJOURRRRR BONJOUR BONJOUR!!!!
AHHHHHH I JUST LOVE YOU ALL!!!!!!
Seriously ok much love for you guys. JUST KNOW you are very verrrryyyy LOVED!!!!
SOOOO ARE YOU READY??? Here we goooooo....
Nope your not ready are you....
Just a few seconds....
Ok NOW YOUR READY....HERE WE GOOO.....mwahaha.
So FIRST!! I haven't really been in our area this week. ITS BEEN A SUPER BUSY ONE!! But it's been absolutely amazing yet again...
So Monday and Tuesday we were in Lyon. As we had the leadership council with president and the assistants...it was so amazing. President brown is so inspired.
He presented the new Christmas initiative. I hope you've all seen the new Christmas video. "Un sauveur est né" it's different from the others years but it's still great.
I love it because last years was "he is the gift" which told the world that Christ came at Christmas and he is the gift at Christmas time. And the invitation of this new video is "discover why" ...inviting us and others to discover why he came, why we need him etc. I love it because I'm on a mission because I've discovered why he came, and why I need a savior personally. And I can share this video, this message and stand, testifying that I've discovered. And hopefully others will want to discover why too!
It's interesting we ask people everyday why they celebrate Christmas, or why do people celebrate and they say "Christs birth" but then we ask "do you know why he came" and a lot of people do not know of his importance. I feel so lucky to be here, sharing him with others!!
For me personally why? Why do I need a savior? Because without my savior, without Christ I cannot return to my Heavenly Father, without him I cannot receive exaltation which is my ultimate goal. Without him, there is no peace in my life, I need my savior because he turns doubt into faith, he turns fear into hope and he turns failure into success. With him, I can overcome all. And that is why he came, to save us. And that is why I need a savior.
I would like to invite you, like the video to discover why. If you have not already. Do you really know why you need a savior? Discover why and then share it.
President also presented a new little challenge for the mission for this month of December. So because of the Paris attacks and everything, we have a rule in the mission that we are no longer allow to be out, after dark, as we are in winter it gets dark, pretty early. Around 5 o clock. We have to be in our apartments UNLESS we are with a member. So presidents new challenge is "mille membres en décembre" president wants us to teach with a thousand members as a mission, this December! Wooooo!! IM SO EXCITED!!! This Sunday , our relief society president got up infront of the ward and testified, it was such a strong testimony of missionary work, and how blessed her family feels and how different her home feels when they have had the missionaries over!! We handed out a calendar for the month and the members are all on board!!! We are teaching with members nearly everyday! It's awesome.
We even had like 5 members approach us and say "we have friends coming over...can you come and share a Christmas message.." MIRACLES EVERYWHERE HERE!!!!
It's amazing, president truly is inspired. I bet Satan thought he was winning. He was probably like "yes I've got all the missionaries in France stuck inside every night" BUT NO!! Haha. We are using this "set back" to HASTEN the work here in the France Lyon mission. And I know we are all going to see so many miracles from this!!
We had two Christmas relief society activities this week!! Haha CHRISTMASSSS SPIRIT!!! IM SOOOOO EXCITED!!! Literally love these women here. I want to be like them. We ate raclette together on a huge, long table. You can imagine. It was so cute and then we made Christmas decorations...you will see that soon! Haha!! ;)
President also told us the little rules on Christmas Day. WE CAN WATCH A DISNEY MOVIE.....AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. WHICH ONE DO I CHOOSE!!!!!!!??? Hahaha!! We can skype for an hour and a half.....WOOOOO
And we can sleep in too!! Man. I think I could sleep for the rest of my life right now!! Haha we are so busy. So always tired. Haha but it's A GREAT TIRED!! Love it.
We ate with the family coppel this week. They are such a gorgeous little family!!! We shared a message on family history. And we did a game, with the elders. So we put two little chocolates on the table and then a line on the floor about 2 meters away from the table. The father and his little girl were behind the line. We told the little girl she could come and get the chocolate but the dad was not allowed to cross the line. Then we told the little girl she could come and get the chocolate for her dad...so she did!!
I hope that makes sense..haha. But the message was that our ancestors are over the other side of the line and we are here. We can get the chocolate (baptism, temples etc) but they can't. They can want the chocolate but they cannot get it for themselves. We are here, it is our responsibility to help them, get it for them. How important are we?? SO IMPORTANT!! Without us they cannot be saved. And without them, neither can we.
OK REEEEALLY FUNNY MOMENT..again I think most of the funny moments I send are the "you have to be there" moments. But I'm going to tell you anyway!!!
So we brought lunch. And you know the little sachets of ketchup. Well my companion was impatient trying to opening this little sachet. And she pulls it really hard and BAM!! It splits open and GO EVERYWHERE!! Hahahahaha in her hair, over her clothes. On the elders. Just everywhere. We all just went silent and then laughed and laughed. You know the laugh where no noise comes out because it just hurts laughing so much...it was like that!! I haven't laughed that hard in so long!! It was so funny!! Anyway...
Me and sister wilsher celebrated our ten month anniversary together on Thursday. As we had zone training!! Haha. 10 months...ahhhh!!! Zone training went really well. Presenting was great, I wasn't as nervous this time round! We have epic missionaries in our zone too so we are going to be seeing miracles this transfer!! Can't wait for it all. I can't believe we are already going into the third week of the transfer! Ahh!!
So a little extra thing...you know MY AMI in Lausanne who got baptised. Well I heard that ,sat week her son, was BAPTISED (he is like 10) but how cool is that!!!! It made me so happy....
Ok I KNOW I KNOW you hear this all the time. But seriously when you can, teach with the missionaries!! ...I know same old, same old. But hear me out!!
We had a rdv this week with our ami. She has been scared about making a change in her life and accepting baptism. Well we went with a member for the first time this week. And the member, sat there, in tears, telling us how she converted to the gospel. And how she received her answer and her journey etc. and our ami is now praying for which date she wants to be BAPTISED!! It was absolutely incredible. As members, you bring the spirit instantly. And don't you think "why I don't have a cool conversion story" etc. we have all had spiritual moments, we have all received answers to prayers, they need to hear it! Your incredible instruments!!
STUDY TIME!!!.....
"Choose the light" - general conference talk..
"The more we persist, the brighter his influence becomes in our lives...his influence will bring us confidence, determination, comfort, and most importantly the power to know that he lives..." - I just love this, because even though we may pass through times in our lives where the light seems to dim, and where we start to fill lost, so many questions, so many pressures and temptations all around us. I just wanted to promise you that if we just keep persisting. Keep peddling towards the light (even if it seems dim) it WILLbegin to brighten. And we will see a change, we will be happier. And we will receive a testimony.
- so I don't think I had ever studied right at the end of Joseph smith history, the testimony of Oliver cowdery. WHAT A TESTIMONY!! In his last paragraph he says: " yes..one day of glory from the upper world, one word.. Strikes it all into insignificance, and blots it forever from the mind.." Loved this. When we receive spiritual answers, inspiration etc from heaven (the upper world) all doubts, questions and fears are strikes into insignificance. They don't matter. What matters is the truths you know. What matters is the answer he has given you! :)
So this week is going to BE BUSY BUSY again. But great. So many things planned. We are eating with members every single day this week!! AHHH. It's so great.
We are doing an exchange with the Lausanne sisters, so I am with sister yaka yake!! Haha!! It's going to be fun! And then another exchange with the Geneva spainish speaking sisters. And guess who's going to the spainish....MOI!! Hahaha. Pray for me....hahaha it'll be fine!! And then on Saturday we have a big finding day in Geneva, with all the ysa from the stake!! So can't wait for that either!!
SERIOUSLY LOVE YOU ALL PERFECTLY! Don't you dare forget to video or take pictures of the ward activity this week! I can't miss out on that!!
Your all beautiful! And incredible individuals. I love you all individually. And I'm a little too excited about speaking to you at Christmas!!! Hahahahaha.
GO HAVE ANOTHER EPIC WEEK. get those decorations up! I leave you for 18 months and you don't have an advent CALENDER yet and the decoration are not up...what am I going to do with you!! Haha.
LOVE YOU!!!
LOVE YOUR ONE AND ONLY....
